Filipino Congregation at IBCS
Welcome & Introduction PDF Print E-mail

A person faces several needs when he or she goes to another place, particularly overseas or in another country.  The need could be financial, emotional, cultural adjustment, etc. It is hard to address all these needs at the same time.  However, in most cases, it is the spirit of man that needs encouragement and support to be able to survive the new environment and face all the trials of life courageously.

As a Filipino Ministry, our concern is to provide spiritual nourishment to our fellow Filipinos in Singapore.  Regardless of their status in life, dialect, and religious affiliation, we want to serve them.

The Filipino Congregation of IBCS has been in existence since 1985.  Filipinos were at the heart of those who pioneered it.

Come… you are welcome!

Purpose PDF Print E-mail

Our purpose as is as follows, in response to the command of God and the example shown by the believers in the Bible, we shall:

  • Reach out to and enrich Filipinos in Singapore spiritually;
  • Provide warm fellowship and meaningful worship experience;
  • Assist in physical and social needs of IBC - Filipino Ministry members;
  • Provide opportunities for Christians who are willing to serve the Lord; and
  • Involve the Ministry in missions and church planting activities.

In other words, we would like to:

“Care-Reach, Disciple, Send!”

Choir - “Praise the Lord.  Sing to the Lord a new song... in the assembly of the saints,” declares Psalm 149:1.  If you have special interest in singing, this ministry can help you exercise your talent.  Join IBCS-FM’s singing angels from 5:00-6:30 p.m.

Bible Correspondence Course - This is good for you if you cannot come to church every Sunday.  This is a series of Bible teachings that will help you grow in your Christian life.  You can study this course at your own pace. A certificate will be awarded to you after finishing the course.

GoForth Training Services - This training school offers short courses like Nursing Aide and Computer Literacy.  It aims to upgrade the skills of those enrolled.  This is not part of IBC-FM, but we are working closely with GTS.  It has a minimal fee.
