How to become a Member of IBC

You are encouraged to register your membership as full member as follows:-

1.         Fill up the bulletin tear-off slip indicating your desire to join IBC. Place slip in the offering bag or give to one of the ministers.

2.         A Minister will contact you to set up an interview.

The purpose of the interview is simple:

-         to share your Christian testimony and how you came to Christ

-         to enquire about baptism

-         to advise of the qualifications of membership  (As per Constitution, Article VII, Section 1: Full members shall be by immersion baptism; by transfer of letter; or by statement of previous conversion and immersion baptism)

-         to review the IBC Articles of Faith and Church Covenant

-         to discuss the rights, duties, and responsibilities of membership

-         to invite your questions, comments, and get to know you

3.         After meeting with a Minister, welcome letter is sent to new member confirming their membership.

Details and particulars are submitted to Church Office for preparation and forwarding to Church Clerk. 

4.       New Member is received by the church at any regular worship service or business meeting.

            Full member: Already a Christian, have been baptized by immersion, and have been received into membership by the above process.  Are voting members of IBC.
