Our Purpose

The MCM seeks to support the physical, emotion and spiritual needs of members in need to enable to move forward to becoming a fully developed disciple of Jesus Christ.

For those interested in membership at IBCS, appointments are set up with a staff member. Visitors may indicate their interest by first filling up Response Form/ Visitor Card on Sunday or by calling the Church Office.

 

 

 

 
Areas of Ministry PDF Print E-mail

A. Hospital Visits:
Facing the crisis of illness in our families can be difficult. Hospital Visits  are made to provide support to those in hospital and to their families.

B. Bereavement:

Dealing with the pain and loss of a beloved family member is difficult. During this time we come alongside the bereavement to give comfort and to help to person. Arrangements and advice on funeral and services are provided.

 

C. Pastoral Care:
Urgent pastoral care is available and any pastoral staff can be of assistance.

D. Home Visits:
Home visits are made to the shut-ins and those who are elderly, widowed and single. Others who need visits are also included. The nature of these visits can be ministry, encouragement and evangelistic.
 
E. Premarital Counselling/ Marriage Ceremony:
Available to those who are preparing for marriage. Couple will meet for 4 or 5 sessions to go through marriage preparation course.

F. Widows’ Ministry (1 Timothy 5:9):
Widows ministry include women who are widowed and also women who are sixty years above who are single or divorced. The ministry seeks to help and encourage them in their aloneness by keeping in contact with them and gathering them for meals and devotionals a couple of times a year. 

G. Pit Stop Ministry:
The Pit-Stop Ministry (PSM) aims to serve the growing needs of senior citizens in the community by providing a regular meeting place to meet, encourage, and share life's experiences with contemporaries as well as listen to talks on health, finance and purposeful living.

H. Baptist Golden Age Home:
In line with the widow’s ministry, a group of members make monthly visit to residents at BGAH. They reach out to them through singing, sharing of God’s Word
and having a fellowship meal with them.

Preparation for Baptism are conducted on a regular basis. Classes for adults and children are available. Please call the office or see Sunday bulletin for schedules
