Small Groups
Who we are?
|
For those of you who wish to meet and fellowship outside of Sunday services, joining a small group is a great way to grow. Small groups are actually a very important part of IBC Singapore and are best experienced when a group (between 3 and 12 people) commit themselves together to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. Each member contributes in his or her own way to the Church. There are many different types of small group (one for you!), and we believe they all have something on common. The goal of a Small Group is Discipleship
The purpose of a small group is to make disciples. This is in obedience to Christ’s commands in Matthew 28: 18 – 20.
The foundation of a Small Group is Leadership Disciples are not made unless there are disciple makers who can help them lead and apply Christian life as instructed in 2 Timothy 2:2
The structure of a Small Group is Community. People can only learn and grow in an atmosphere of love and acceptance Ephesians 4:2. Community is not just one aspect of life; it is the very structure within which the group operates. A healthy community will produce healthy disciples.
